I was born in Colorado and grew up a country kid on the plains of Colorado and Kansas. As far back as I can remember, I was that kid who was always crocheting, sewing, sketching, reading or seeking some form of creative outlet. Photography entered my life at the age of 10 when I received my first Nikon SLR and started learning about aperture, shutter speed and composition. Between now and then life happened, I started a family and worked in retail management and training. During this time I dabbled in photography and art as a hobby, but realized that I needed my career to exist in a more creative and inspiring environment. After some life changing events, I decided to return to school and received an Associate of Arts in Graphic Communications Arts and Design from Metropolitan Community College and a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Arts in Visual Technologies with a concentration in Graphic Design at the University of Nebraska Omaha.
I currently work as a freelance photographer, fiber artist, and as a graphics/package designer in the beauty industry. I also teach design at the University of Nebraska Omaha.
